BBC Two & Expectation Factual: Murder 24/7 Key Art

Brand new work today - promotional stills for the brand new series of ‘Murder 24/7’, which goes out tonight at 9pm on BBC TWO, and is available on iPlayer (@bbciplayer) now.

Murder 24/7 is a highly acclaimed series from Expectation Factual (@expectation_tv), and in this series follows the work of the West Mercia Police in the Midlands. This particular image is of a firearms officer that we shot on location in the West Midlands.

As well as the Key Art for the series I spent three days on location with the police in the West Mids, shooting environmental portraits as well as images on a plain backdrop. My approach to the lighting had to be fairly agile, as we were shooting on location in a fast paced environment. The officers are lit with a Profoto (@Profoto) B10X inside a 3ft Octa, held by my ever patient assistants Naomi (@itsNaomiKane) and Abbie (@AbbieJennings.co.uk).

Huge thanks to Jenny, Rachael, Vicky, Colin, and Jules at Expectation, as well as the amazing Kate at BBC Creative (@bbccreative). The show was commissioned by Clare Sillery, Head of Documentaries, it’s made by Expectation Factual, Executive Producers are Colin Barr and Rachael Barnes, Series Producer is Vicky Munro, and Series Director is Jules Endersby. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Carl Callam.
