ALL KILLA NO FILLA
10 YEARS… ALIVE!
KEY ART
I was commissioned to photograph the key art for All Killa No Filla: LIVE, starring comedians and podcast hosts Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Rachel Fairburn, ahead of their live tour.
Produced by Berk’s Nest, the shoot was built around the scale and theatricality of taking All Killa No Filla from podcast to stage. We created three distinct setups with Kiri and Rachel: backstage in the dressing room, at the side of the stage, and onstage facing out into the auditorium.
For the principal key-art image, the aim was to make the live show feel genuinely expansive and theatrical. We photographed Kiri and Rachel onstage with their backs to the auditorium, using haze, costume and the theatre’s own lighting rig to create the sense of spectacle that comes with performing the show in front of a live audience.
Technically, the image was a balance between photographic lighting and the existing stage environment. Most of the foreground lighting came from a single Profoto B10X with a 3' Clic Octa, while the theatre team worked through the lighting grid behind them to build the scale, depth and atmosphere of the auditorium.
The resulting campaign combined character-led portraiture, comedy key art and live-performance visual language, creating a set of images designed specifically to launch and promote the tour.
