BBC & EXPECTATION TV

Boot Dreams: Now or Never was a six-part documentary series made by Expectation TV and broadcast on BBC Three.

The series followed sixteen young footballers who had been released by professional clubs and were given a final opportunity to secure a professional contract at an intensive training camp. The programme was set at Manchester City’s former training ground and combined elite coaching with mentorship from figures including Roman Kemp, Anton Ferdinand, and Millie Bright.

The series documented the players’ journeys both on and off the pitch as they trained, competed, and faced the psychological pressures of a last-chance opportunity, and I was lucky enough to spend almost six weeks documenting their progress.
