Inverness, Scotland

The red squirrel is the UK's only native squirrel species, and was once a common sight, but for decades red squirrels have been in decline, going from 3.5 million to less than 200,000, thanks to the introduction of the grey squirrel in 1870. I spend the day photographing these beautiufl creatures in Inverness, Scotland, and it was an absolute delight.
