Channel 4: Dr. Rangan Chatterjee

New work alert! And this time it’s for those crazy cats over at Channel 4 (@channel4) - the artwork for Dr. Rangan Chatterjee’s (@drchatterjee) ‘Live Well with the Drug-Free Doctor’, produced by Plimsoll Productions (@plimsollproductions).

The show aired earlier this year, and finds Dr Chatterjee meetings people finding new ways to prevent and reverse lifestyle illness, free from dependence on prescription drugs. Interesting concept, and it was so interesting hearing Dr. Chatterjee chat about it in real life.

Shooting for television is always interesting, as it’s not just you working on set - you’re working alongside an entire film crew! The team on the day were fab, and I managed to get a decent chunk of time with the Doctor in-between filming breaks to get these lovely shots. This main one with the leaves was actually my favourite look that we shot - key light is a softbox, sure, but I also added in the optical snoot with the ‘leaves’ gobo in there, to make it appear that the sun was streaming in, eventhough it was quite an overcast day!!

Huge enormous thanks to Alice (@AliceSquiresPhoto) at the C4 Picture Team for the commission, as well as Carl @CarlPalmerPictures) who I’m sure had some input!! Also, credit to Melody (@_studiomelo__) for assisting on the day.
